Electrical Permit
An
Electrical Permit is required for:
1. Installations or alterations involving the wiring of circuits that supply lighting and power systems, major appliances or service equipment
2. First time installation of fixtures and appliances permanently connected to electrical system(s). This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Dishwashers
- Fans, attic/ceiling/exhaust
- Garbage disposals
- Heat pumps and Centralized air-conditioning systems
- Lighting fixtures
- Electric clothes dryers
- Electric stoves/ovens
- Electric water heaters
- Smoke alarms/detectors, hard wired
- Solar energy equipment
- Sump pumps
- Trash compactors
